Southern United Rugby Football Club (SURF) is Tokoroa’s only Rugby club. Formed in 2001, SURF is an amalgamation of Tokoroa and Tokoroa Pirates, formed in 1958 and 1973 respectively. The SURF whanau currently fields two men’s rugby teams, 1 women’s rugby team and 18 J.A.B teams.
